God Talks to Me – Weird, I Know

He said, She said. A way to share with you the ongoing conversation between the myself and God. Most of the time He pushes, and most of the time I argue. It’s nothing I can explain, except to say, that I listen.

She said: I am afraid!

He whispered: I am here.

She said: I am afraid!

She said: You can’t let my mother die!

He said: She’s mine, not yours.

She said: Who will show us the way.

He said: You will.

She thought: … umm, no …

She said: You can’t let her die!

He said: Will you let go?

She said: I can’t go on without her.

He said: Yes, you can. I am here.

She thought: I don’t want you, I want my mother.

He said: I am here.

He said: Will you teach Sunday School?

She said: I don’t know anything about You, let alone how to teach children.

He said: Will you teach Sunday School.

She said: Fine, I’ll teach Sunday School.

She though: It’s your fault if I mess this up.

She said: I KNOW NOTHING!

He said: I will send a teacher.

She said: Really, who?

He said: Will you take the time to grow?

She said: Do I have a choice?

He said: You always have a choice.

He said: Enough growing, time to lead.

She said: No, I KNOW NOTHING!

He said: Time to lead.

She said: Fine, I’ll lead.

She though: It’s your fault if I mess this up.

He said: A fifth child!

She said: WHAT? A fifth child?

He said: Will you love her?

She said: Duh, of course. But a fifth child?

She cried: My child is drawn to the darkness.

He said: That child is mine, not yours.

She said: That child is mine, not yours.

He said: I love him more than you could ever.

He said: Will you come lead Youth Ministry?

She said: But, I’ve just started a business.

He said: I’ll use it, will you come lead?

She said: Fine, I’ll lead.

She though: It’s your fault if I mess this up.

She said: I want more, I’ve lead this, and that, and this … I want more. [stomps foot]

He said: Saint Benedict

She said: WHO?

He said: PAX

She said: WHAT?

He said: Be quiet.

She was quiet.

He said: Let’s finish that B.A.

She said: I’m too old to learn.

He said: I’ll be the judge of that. Back to school.

She said: I’m NOT too old to learn.

She thought: In fact, I’ve already learned quite a lot.

He said: You’re welcome.

He asked: Are you listening?

She said: Yes …

He asked: Are you watching?

She said: Yes …

He said: Pay attention, I will show you things others wish to see. And then, you will show them.

She said: … ummm, okay …

She said: MY CHILD, Oh GOD. Save my child.

He said: Saving her life is not the measure of my love for her, you know that.

She said: MY CHILD, Oh GOD. Save my child.

He said: Have you read the psalms today?

She read: “Surely goodness and mercy will follow her all the days of her life, and she shall dwell in the house of the LORD forever.”

He said: Others are watching.

She said: I know, I don’t care, my child is dying.

He said: Many prophets and kings have wanted to see what you see, and never saw it: to hear what you hear and never heard it.

She thought: But that’s MY child.

He said: I know how you feel.

They said: Thank you, here’s the door.

She said: … ummm, okay … now what?

He said: Do you trust me?

She said: Do I have a choice?

He said: You always have a choice.

She said: OH GOD, my husband, your child.

He said: There are worse things that can happen than death.

She thought: There are worse things than death.

They said: He’s gone.

He said: I was there, don’t worry, he is safe.

She said: Now what?

He said: ————-

She said: Hello? Are you there?

He said: ————-

She thought: I’ll keep going even with the radio silence, I know you’re there.

He whispered: I am here.
